Gayanne Ramsden holds a PhD in Theatre from Brigham Young University. She has a BA in History from BYU and obtained a secondary teaching certificate from San Jose State University in California. Dr. Ramsden taught Public Speaking at Utah Valley University from 1999-2001 and BYU from 2002 until the present. She also taught Creative Dramatics and Storytelling at BYU. Volunteer work includes being on board of the Rocky Mountain Youth Theatre and auditioning actors for films produced by the Chuch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dr. Ramsden has also won prizes in poetry and playwriting. While attending graduate school at BYU, she developed a play in a Playwright Director Actor Workshop. This play has been performed at two high schools in New Mexico in the past two years. It is an adaptation of Beowulf.
